  • Description

With the new Nansen range, Westfalia makes a notable comeback into the core segment of the Fiat Ducato market. The name honours Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen, and picks up where the now-discontinued Amundsen line left off. Both versions share the same Fiat Ducato base: a 140 hp Multijet engine with 8-speed automatic as standard, with the option to step up to 160 or 180 hp, each approved for 4 occupants.

The range spans two floorplans, each built around a different priority. The 640LS (6.36 m) puts everything into comfort for long trips: the electric bed adjusts in height and, once raised, makes way for an XXL garage up to 1.60 m tall, with the option of adding a third sleeping place at the front. On board you'll also find a generous 157-litre compressor fridge with its own freezer compartment, plus a vario bathroom where a pivoting wall separates shower and toilet as needed. The 600L (5.99 m), by contrast, goes for family flexibility with two modular transverse bunk beds, providing 4 sleeping places in total. The bathroom here follows a completely different, walk-through layout, paired with a more compact 90-litre fridge.

A fully equipped kitchen, worktop, two gas burners, dimmable LED lighting and premium upholstery: these come identically on both versions, as does the standard equipment (95-litre fresh water tank, 85-litre waste water tank, 4,000 W Truma diesel heater). Style-wise, the bodywork comes in several colours beyond the standard white, with optional metallic finishes, Missouri or Hampton fabric upholstery, and 16-inch alloy wheels.
