Description
5.99 METRES. FOR TWO. COMPLETELY GAS-FREE.
Most campervan adventures start small. A weekend by the coast, a few days in the Ardennes, perhaps the Netherlands. But once you've discovered how good it feels to set off without having every detail planned, you usually want to go further. France. Spain. Italy. Maybe one day Greece, or a summer in Norway.
That's exactly what this Bürstner Papillon PC 6.0 is made for. Not just that first weekend away, but everything that comes after it. Compact enough to go almost anywhere, comfortable enough to spend weeks on the road and, thanks to diesel heating, a compressor fridge and induction cooking, completely gas-free.
FOR TWO, YOU DON'T NEED MORE. YOU NEED THE RIGHT THINGS.
Up front, there's a comfortable dinette for eating, reading or planning tomorrow's route. And it simply stays that way. At the rear, the fixed 190 x 150 cm bed is ready every evening. No lowering tables, moving cushions or building a bed when, after a long day, all you want to do is sleep. The compact bathroom with shower and toilet, together with fixed fresh- and waste-water tanks, also gives you the freedom to spend a night away from a campsite.
No extra sleeping places you'll hardly ever use. Instead, 5.99 metres where the available space is designed entirely around the two of you.
COMPLETELY GAS-FREE. ONE LESS THING TO WORRY ABOUT.
This may be one of the strongest arguments for this Papillon. The Truma Combi 6DE heats both the campervan and your water using diesel and can also use 230V. The compressor fridge runs electrically and cooking is done on induction. That means this Papillon can operate completely gas-free.
No heavy gas bottles to carry. No gas supply to check before leaving. No searching for a different bottle or connection when you cross a border. You're filling up with diesel anyway and, at a campsite, you use 230V whenever it's available.
It may sound like a technical detail. On the road, it mainly means less hassle and more freedom to simply keep travelling.
And thanks to the Winter Pack, with a heated waste-water tank and heated cab seats, your travels don't have to be limited to July and August.
5.99 METRES. EVEN IF YOU WANT TO TRAVEL 5,000 KILOMETRES.
A good campervan shouldn't only be enjoyable when it's parked. Above all, it should make you want to drive. The 140 hp engine with automatic transmission makes long journeys more relaxed, while 5.99 metres remains compact enough for a narrow mountain road, a village street in southern Europe or an ordinary parking space. With a maximum authorised weight of 3,500 kg, a standard category B driving licence is sufficient.
The Safety Pack, reversing camera and multimedia system make driving and manoeuvring easier. Exactly the kind of equipment you appreciate more and more the further you travel from home.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED. WITHOUT HAVING TO ADD IT LATER.
When comparing campervans, it's tempting to look at the base price first. But the real difference often lies in what still needs to be added: automatic transmission, diesel heating, winter equipment, camera, blinds, awning…With this Papillon, those choices have already been made. Not to make the options list longer, but because these are exactly the things you'll actually use on the road.
That makes it an interesting first campervan, but just as much if you're coming from a larger motorhome and discover that travelling smaller doesn't have to mean travelling with less comfort.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO TRAVEL BIGGER TO TRAVEL FURTHER.
From your first weekend by the coast to that summer in Norway. 5.99 metres, made for two and completely gas-free. This Papillon is ready when you are.
